Harry Potter 4
Yup i watched it! Was ok, not too bad. Heres a load of the good and the bad!
Good:
* Special effects (I cudnt stop screaming in the dragon scene)
* Casting (voldemort was exactly what he was described as and Cedric Diggory was every bit handsome as he was described in the book)
* Humour (although bits that werent in the book was added, it was HILLARIOUS! Snape hits Harry and Ron in the head not once not twice but 3 times!)
* Make up (the characters looked great! although not as good as they did in HP 3)
Bad:
* Plot development (like HP 3 plot, this 1 is very poorly developed. I want Chris Columbus bak - the director of HP 1 and HP 2)
* Too rushed! (this is understandable, the like 600 page book was shrinked to 2 hrs and 45 mins)
* Casting (Krum wasnt as hairy as he was supposed 2 b, Fleur didnt look anything near a semi-veela)
* The movie made it seem like Harry and Hermione had weird chemistry going on when the book makes it obvious that its Ron and Hermione with the weird chemistry!
Overall, i'd say it was ok. Bad plot development (which annoyed me a LOT!) was overcome by the special effects and humour so by the end i was ok with it. I mean even tho i was annoyed at fleur and krums casting cedric made up for all of it! lol, y duz the cute ones always die! Sorry 2 give away the ending. All in all I'd give it a 5.5 out of 10. Yup, the only thing I am ever cynical abt is movies. Theres ever been only 1 movie i think that i wud give 10/10. And believe me, I've seen heaps of movies!

Ishi- I knew you were weird, but I dodn't know you were a werid movie critic as well.
The plot was good... no it was better than good. And I know they skipped out on sooooo much, but hey- you said it yourself... they have 2/3hrs.
I have to agree on Krum- he wasn't as ... ermm "physical" as I thought he should have been... and definitely not as hairy (LOL!!).
And HOW could you give it a measly 5.5?? HOOOOOW??????
I reckon Rowling should be pleased as punch with the outcome of her Goblet of Fire. You know who did disappoint me? Cedric Diggory- you lot have a werid sense of "handsome"... Diggory was the average hook-nosed Pom Aristocrat-wannabe (in my books)...
Dude- I have like, loads of other opinions, but I don't want essays in your comments section...

ooooo yeah and HP and Ron's bangladeshi dates, OMG! They were the typical curries, lol. Walking around together saying hi to 'cute' guys, hehe. They made me laugh so much!
Ok, ash and flynn, to me i dont care how good special effects are, how good casting is, how good make up is, plot development is the main things and makes up around 80% of how good a movie is. And they skipped out a LOT (some were very obvious!). e.g. one scene they're on the hogwarts express, next scene the beauxbeatons and durmstrang ppl arrive. When did they get 2 hogwarts? That 30 seconds of footage cud have made it so much better! There were quite a lot of examples like that.
Ok, look at it from the perspective of a person who didnt read the books. It was completely confusing! I went with 3 such people and the whole way i had 2 explain everything 2 them! They were so lost when they came out! Thats y i liked the 1st and 2nd movie. Without reading the book u cud understand what was going on. Actually the 1st 2 movies got me into the books. But the last 2 movies wudnt have.
I widnt mind if the movie was 5 hours long. Honestly, its HARRY POTTER! They cud have a half an hour break mid way or something. this way it wudnt be as confusing. But they shud have been more faithful to the book. (Come on, they dont even explain what priori incantetam is! As if we r magically supposed 2 no what that is as soon as Dumbledore utters it!). We'd have to wait double the time for the release of this movie but I'd rather wait long for a great movie than wait a little time for a joga khichuri movie, get me?

And ash: Peter Jackson is the only person i'd ever give a 10/10 to as well. He knows good plot development, alongside all the other goodies as well (e.g. camerawork, casting, make-up, even the appropriate soundtrack!).
He made the movies much better than the books (I'm talking abt LOTR). I know its a bigger challenge with HP, but LOTR is a pretty complex book u hafta admit. And making it so clear in his movie was very much due to good plot development. I tried reading the book and got bored by page 16. And without watching the movies i'd be confused by page 2!

flynn: u no the scene where diggory tells harry to have a shower in the prefects bathroom, my sis thought he sounded absolutely GAY in that scene, LOL. S-O-R-R-Y that Diggory duznt have green eyes, but he was still handsome :P. And he was superb at acting dead! lol. Ok, that sounds mean but i saw this bangla cinema where the nayika is dead covered under a sheet and u can still c her moving. Talk abt bad acting!

Errmmm... excuse me, but Ash DIDN'T read the book... and she followed the movie just fine. Who were you at the movies with?? They aren't the brightest of characters are they??

People don't need to understand ALL the plots and sub-plots- that's what the book is for- the movie is to fixate on the MAIN plot... and it was true to that, you have to admit.
As for Diggory's eyes- well, they should have been green :P

hey man, the ppl i went to didnt have the IQ of a doctor 2 b (which is completely normal coz my IQ is like their too probably!) so its not their fault they didnt get it. Anyways, its useless having these discussions with me. My sis hates watching movies with me coz shes the emotional type and loves any movie that evokes any emotion in her, lol. Surprizingly, i can stay quite in control through movies. Since i rate most movies really low she hates watching em with me. I guess none of u wud really like watching it with me either in that case :P.
By the way flynn, rememba the movie we watched AGES ago "The forgotten"? How much wud u rate that? I dunno, i think i'd give it like a 4/10. Haha!

I'd give it a 2... if I were feeling happy and generous.
Blrgh- what a waste of my time & money... and the seats were sooo stinky! They definitely influenced my rating.
The one thing I do remember is that someone in the movie suddenly flew into the air- really fast- and both you & Rabz screeched, grabbed my arms & tried to stop the blood flow.
No wonder you rated it a 4.
